Today I'm thinking about time... the time it takes for me to get to the computer and blog.
Maybe the little hurdle that I'm experiencing to get to this step isn't something the digital native would experience... but time is an issue.
I have 90 minutes of classtime. The amount of time it would take to get everyone blogging is an investment. And I'm not sure that I have that kind of time to invest.
If only... everyone had a computer to blog from... if only the blog experience was in the target language...if only it were faster...
I am wondering if making the blog format optional would work. Students could either turn their reflections in through a hard copy diary format or turn in the link to their blog.

Time is a big issue. I teach 5th grade math 5 times a day and I have only 50 minutes for each of five block. I think it will take alot of creative planning to implement. However, the educational value is definitely a reason for thought. This summer!!
It does not hurt to try although time is an issue to deal with. Try blogging at least once a week. Maybe often students extra credit if they blog after school at home or at a local library. Good luck!
